Liquid_Squelch 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Hi, I purchased a Q-See 16ch DVR with 4 cameras for a very excellent price. It was basically from some one that installed it for a client, and they decided they didn't want it. Neither did the installer (who I know, so I know this is legit). I think I understand how these things work, and I am pretty good with home networking, so that isn't a problem. I got the unit last night, and I was wondering if I could do the following with it: I am going to setup all 4 cameras to the DVR. The DVR will be on the network. I would like to be able to feed 2 of the 4 cameras to the internet as a webcam for my weather station (to give a live visual of my yard.... eye candy!) Is it possible to just pull 2 feeds and make them public, while keeping the other 2 private?? Do any DVR systems do that, or would I have to move to a PC based system. Is it better to just pickup an outdoor webcam? Since I would already have the CCTV running outdoors, I'd rather just use those cameras, instead of feeding the same thing 2x. Thanks!!!
