mreaves53 0 Posted March 9, 2007 I am an IT guy and of the companies I do consulting for bought this DVR card on e-bay. I believe the seller is USBDepot. I am not sure if the card is pirated or not. If not, can anyone recognize the brand and where I can get software that works with the card. If it is pirated, please tell that and I will remove the post. Thanks,
phred 0 Posted March 12, 2007 Looks very similar to one I played around with a couple of years ago. Got it working with something eventually but very disappointing results. In the end, the only use I could find for it was a fancy dress party. The 8 into 1 connectors make a fine Rastafarian style wig. It is a very dated piece of technology – don't waste your time on it. PC type cards really need proper hardware compression chips. Bt878/9 based stuff relies on your CPU for video compression and no CPU can compete with several ASIC or DSP chips dedicated to the job. toughman 0 Posted April 5, 2007 I use tibet cards. It is very easy to use. I don't feel it is one of the best cards on th market. One day, one of my customer brought his system with GV850 bought from someone and asked me to remove it and replaced it with CS16 (Tibet). He couldn't figure out how to operate it with GV850. With Tibet card, I can teach my customers to operate the system within 20 minutes. From the photo, I can't tell which card it is. I have CS16 on my hand but it is a little bit different. I have seen the cloned Tibet cards before.
