Deluxecctv.com 0 Posted March 29, 2007 Hello, Yes, we have our dealers install external hard drives through the fire wire port on their DVR'S. This is a great idea due to more space. I haven't seen any problems with installing external hard drives. I would suggest you use Seagate 7200RPM. These seem to be the most stable.
