Maniaxx 0 Posted April 23, 2007 I've done this to see the difference between composite and s-video signal to be prepared what i could expect from a camera with both outputs. The problem was.. the camera i got had such a bad chrominance channel that those s-video improvements weren't important at all. So, here are some synthetical testimages (PC/Loopback capture) from full resolution PAL signal with high per-pixel information (576 TVL) captured at 704x576 (52µs per line) from tv-out (unprocessed/pixel-exact/no flickerfilter). Hardware is: Ati R300 TV-Out Philips SAA7134 based capture card Maybe its useful for someone... Note: The pictures below have nothing to do with a real camera picture. They are created by a PC and re-captured over analog signal to simulate the signal loss of composite and Y/C only. Left side is composite, right side is s-video (in both pics).
