kyrotech 0 Posted May 1, 2007 Hi, I am using a GV-1480 ver.8.1.1 I was wondering if there was anyway of knowing how much bandwidth the audio takes when streaming through the internet via VPN, CenterV2 and Webcam thanks in advance
CameraGenius 0 Posted May 1, 2007 best way to tell would be to use a bandwidth monitoring program such as: http://manageengine.adventnet.com/products/netflow/download.html See your bandwidth before and after you start the streaming audio. This should give you a good indication or an estimate on how much it is using.
kao 0 Posted May 2, 2007 x-netstat from freshsoftware.com is also a nice way to watch what each connection is using for bandwidth. For instance, if I have x-netstat on a client machine and am connected to a 16 camera server via the web interface, I can see how much bandwidth each camera feed is using. I think they offer a 30-day free trial.
CollinR 0 Posted May 2, 2007 I dunno but I have had audio problems with multiview, seems to drop the audio if you change the screen division (among other things). Have to reconnect to get it back.
