nwatson6 0 Posted May 1, 2007 I am trying to setup a small network, with a GV800-4. THought I had it all working, software version 8.1 . Video was there, motion record was working and I could view the logs from my other PC. But then had a power cut, I restored power, rebooted PC, and camera software started, but now it does not display a picture, just a black screen, I tried moving the input around, and the black screen moves with it. Any help would be appreciated...........
kensplace 0 Posted May 1, 2007 Is it just one cam doing the black screen? Are other cams showing video? If others are ok, then check the camera, it could have a problem, can you view the cam direct on a monitor/tv?

Most probably this is a GV800 card failure after power loss. Ask your GV distributor for a replacement card.
nwatson6 0 Posted May 8, 2007 Did a complete reinstall of Windows, then installed camera software and all appears to be working again. Not sure what went wrong, but I couldn't even remove and reinstall software.
