ilzu 0 Posted May 4, 2007 Hi guys, I registered quite a long ago and really like the forum but this is my first post. The customer wants to add 3 or 4 cameras to the existing 16ch setup and replace the PC based DVR. Which is better, two 16ch cards or one 32ch card? I have never installed two cards in a PC before so have no experience. Looking at specs it seems that two 16 ch cards is a better option than a one 32ch card. Anyone have experience with Kocom DVR cards? I'll be proposing one of theirs, have no other choice.
netdvr 0 Posted May 8, 2007 With one 32ch board, I am afraid the image quality will not be very good. So you'd better choose 2*16ch. BTW, why don't you take the hard compressed DVR boards into account?
