8 min gap in recording

I have a geo 1480 with 16 channels audio

 

customer complained about losing 8 min of recording of activity it seemed that it has worked since and before and all other cameras were/are working. Plenty of harddrive space. Only happened as far as we can tell on one camera

 

Any ideas

we were back at the customer site and they said that there was motion as this is a classroom and it had kids in it at the time. THe video clips also show a solid blue start playing drop a min or so again showing the blue background. apparently is happening on multiple cameras also.

Seriously, how is the camera powered? I've seen many situations where camera power was disconnected accidentally by someone wanting to use the outlet or checking breakers or a myriad of other reasons.

 

If all else fails, check and/or replace the DVR's hard drive.

if its set to motion detection, then this is normal.

 

If it is, what are the motion settings?

sounds like at some point everyone in the classroom is just not moving much and nothing is being detected by the cameras as movement to start recording
