redisol 0 Posted June 7, 2007 Sorry but I'm totally clueless when it comes to networking... I bought an Avtech AVC760 to monitor the activities in our home. But since my current broadband provider is under NAT and blocks the needed ports, I will not be able to use it for internet monitoring. So what I want for now (until I shift to a better dsl provider) is to be able to access the dvr from my local network. I don't need internet monitoring for now anyway. Now my question is do I really need to go through those steps in the manual like applying for dydns account, etc.? Could anybody help me with the step-by-step/shortcut procedure on how to do this? My router (dlink 624 Airplus G+) is on DHCP mode with 3 PC's (wire) + 2 wireless connected to it.
VST_Man 1 Posted June 7, 2007 blocked ports equal logmein remote services........try it why do you need that info if ports are blocked? If staying LAN only, just program the DVR onm a port outside 80 and be happy.
