carlosmarin 0 Posted June 28, 2007 I have visited luxriot but it wont work with Kodicom or geovision cards- does anyone out there know something similar that would work?
CollinR 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Why not run the Geovision software?
rory 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Are we talking about legit cards?
carlosmarin 0 Posted June 28, 2007 yes legit cards, but need better software something like luxriot- that can also implement ip cameras to it....
rory 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Cant speak for Kodicom, but as for Geo, depending on the card, you could try BtSpy and then use the BT Drivers, then you will be able to use LuxRiot. I know the GV250 works like this as I did that myself, but do not know if the other cards would. LuxRiot also sell cards BTW.
501 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Geo V8.1.2 supports Ip cams. Is Luxriot that good of software? I can't imagine it has more features then geo.
carlosmarin 0 Posted June 29, 2007 I mentioned kodicom cause its all I have been using and i have about 20 16 port installed at one of my clients- but now I find myselfneeding to implement ip cameras- thats why I needed something like luxriot. Rory, thanks for your advise and response- I also mentioned Geovision cause I have an old gv600 card that I am not using- Rory, I also read your topic about the tweaks and would like to use them also- Thanks again for you reply-
rory 0 Posted June 29, 2007 Optionally, you could use IP Video Decoders, and then you can put that signal into the DVR as you would with a regular CCTV camera.
heloder 0 Posted July 15, 2007 DigiNet 5.1 has an option for IP cameras. There is of course an upgrade cost.
kennypang 0 Posted July 19, 2007 Geo V8.1.2 supports Ip cams. Is Luxriot that good of software? I can't imagine it has more features then geo. is it geo 8.12 support IP cam? or it only support their IP video server?
rory 0 Posted July 20, 2007 Im pretty sure it is only their video server, though I cant say 100%. Also, anyone with any Geo Servers online, want to through up a camera for a demo?
Guest Posted July 20, 2007 Im pretty sure it is only their video server, though I cant say 100%. Also, anyone with any Geo Servers online, want to through up a camera for a demo? I will see if I get time before I go home today if I can put up a Video server for Demo for you guys! As for Ip cameras and 8.1.2 it is only Web Server, but GV 8.2 will support IP cameras, but you need to buy dongle for that! JD
