Please help, I need a good wide angle/view camera

Hi all.

 

I bought a camera to use in the front of my townhouse, I bought a bullet camera but the camera view is so close, I can see the cars in the parking lot fine, and the individual blades of grass in my front yard, but I want to be able to see the front of my home, especially the front door and walkway.

 

What did i do wrong in my choice, what is the best camera that will give me a wide view of my yard?

Sounds like you wanted a wide-angle lens.2.8- 3 mm or you need to change the focus for closer up.

Thanks so much, now I know what to look for. This camera is a 8mm-16mm. Thats the problem.

I would check with some of the vendors here to see if they have a lens that will fit your existing camera. I'm a newbee myself but there is a LOT of GREAT help here to be found. Good Luck

do you know the model of the camera?

 

I doubt you will be able to easily change the lens, as the varifocal for bullets can be different sizes, though either way, you cant just use a standard lens, it has to be for a bullet camera.
