kdberg 0 Posted August 30, 2004 Can I use a Kalatel DVMRe DVR to control Pelco Spectra III cameras? What about using a Pelco Dx8016 DVR to control Kalatel SpectraDome Cameras?
Thomas 0 Posted August 30, 2004 I know Katel has a special converter box to take Pelco D and convert it to thier protocol. You can get it from them. They also have two protocols, one that is open and they give out, that talks to the converter box, the second is the one from the converter box to the camera, that one they seem unwilling to send out. Kalatel has converters from kalatel to pelco, but only for basic dome functions, as a pan-tilt, zoom, focus. It is dificult use dome patterns. And needs reset about 4-8 times per month. Thomas 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Yeah, we'd perfer to implement the protocol in the software rather then have another piece of hardware do it for us.
