bike_rider 0 Posted July 21, 2007 With my shiny new AT&T 8525, I am having a great time using Gview2 to watch my cameras. It works amazingly well, even at non-3G speeds. I have two problems that I'm hoping somebody can help with: I can VPN into Geovision server (PPTP through the router), but when I try to run GV2 or IE to connect to any machine on my internal network, the VPN connection drops. I can ping machines on the internal network, but not use applications. I'm sure this isn't a GV specific thing, but a windows setting. GV2 works fine if I use my WiFi network or if I use port forwarding through the router. Also, I can't get RPB to work from the phone. RPB server is running on my server and for trouble shooting I'm using my Wifi connection and have turned off windows firewall on the GV server. No dice. When I try to connect (with the same login name and password that I use for GV2 live view), I immediately get a message on the PDA ""Disconnected". On the PDA, Port is 5066, MDB type is "DVR". Anyone have any ideas?
501 0 Posted July 21, 2007 For Gview V2 you need to use the folling ports: Mobile Phone Viewing – 8866 Mobile Playback – 5511 Be that's the problem.

I had the wrong port for playback (5066?). Thanks I did also fix the other problem with the VPN. For anyone who finds this in the archives - if you use a cellular network and then VPN from that, you need your private IP addresses in the "exceptions" section of the communications.
