VST_Man 1 Posted July 28, 2007 Just got one and have been testing it. Nice camera. Using a Netgear FS108P Prosafe Switch with POE conected via 125ft. CAT5 to the 3130. Recording done via Video Insight IP Server software. note: - install was simple via Arecont IP Installer software - Video Insight software records the video extremely clean - first IP MegaP camera I tested that handles the blurr problem very well. pretty much allows you to get clean motion, day or night, without the blurr. Arecont states that inorder to do this you may have issues with high gain efefcts (grainy pic). I did not have this problem, or see it. - first IP MegaP camera that is IR sensitive. Used a Supercircuits IR (240ft.) type and got a great pic in a completly dark garage area. Motion under IR was clean and fluid. - had a issue with the blinking of the LED's on the rear of the camera. Most cameras allow you to shut off..have not found that switch yet but will look more into it. LED flashing is a security blunder at night......."here I am" - camera is small, 1/4 the size of a regular "box" type camera. - will test inside a enclosure tonight. wonder if the 2 lenses side by side will cause any issues with view. a single lense inside a enclosure can have the enclosure itself on the pic edges. ????? also, since the camera is smaller the body of it may not allow me to push the lense all the forward in the enclosure? Need to reduce the edge factor mentioned above. - bandwidth? have not measured that yet. - storage? time will tell. Overall I am impressed. Pic is sweet, real sweet. I can see using this cam in large areas. will reduce number of cams and provide a better more useful pic. Tried to upload pics but I am still, six months now, getting a error from the CCTV Server.
