indydevelopersnetwork 0 Posted August 2, 2007 I am looking at putting this in a location using nine cameras. They will have three cameras on the customer area of the restaurant. Can I use the TV-Out and only display those three cameras like spot monitoring allows you to do. Chris Bowles Indy Developers Network
photys 0 Posted August 2, 2007 According to my manual for the GV-1240´s, yes. Never tried it personaly. You can scan through 3 channels, full screen, setting the scan interval and brightness/contrast/sat/hue of each camera. Or on a screen division of 4 you can show those 3 cameras. Quote from manual: "When the DSP spot monitor feature is enabled, DSP overlay will be disabled in the main system". Meaning slightly jerky live display on the main system screen. Im sure theres a member who has personal experience with this.
rory 0 Posted August 2, 2007 if you use the DSP Spot Feature on the menu, it disables Direct Draw Overlay which means lower quality live video (blocky video), more noticeable when in full view. Personally I dont think its worth the lower live video quality, but thats up to the user. You can still use the DSP output but dont need to turn on the spot monitor feature, however it will just duplicate the video from the DVR.
