I need help choosing a back up system

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 16 cn model GV-800 DVR. windows XP 320 gb hard drive .

it has a 775i65G ASROCK (I think thats the mother board) and uses Geovision software. The company I purchased it from (off of e-bay) is Plex-cctv. It seems to be a good sysem. but I am new to this stuff and know very little. Wish I had found this forum befor I got in to this stuff.

I had some problems with the unit and had to send it back (Warranty)

So now I want a unit to use as a back-up till I get my DVR back, and in case it goes out again. I don't want to spend to much. I've been looking at some systems on e-bay. One is a Burle, it has a small monitor tc-1909 and a large monitor tc-1914 , a switcher tc-8141, robot multivision plus processor mv-50, time lasped vidio cassete recorder tc-3924. I think I can get it for about 150.00 Is this a good deal. should I look for something totaly different.

Any comments on Plex DVR is it a good unit or crap? or where to get a good back up system. all comments needed!

Burle is old, it was taken over by Philips a long time ago, and since then it is now Bosch. I would look for something else.
