survtech 0 Posted August 18, 2007 Fibre would also handle the distance but it is not cheap and requires specialized equipment and training to install. Wachhund 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Although we run fiber, I think for this distance VST has it right. A quality active balun will boost your signal over cat5 for 500 meters.
