eire32 0 Posted September 16, 2004 Im having a problem with a new system ive built. One test cam is connected. Interlacing artifacts were present in 640x480 mode so i enabled deinterlacing. The problem is on startup the single cam picture is frozen. It only gets going when i either switch onto a multi screen setting then back to single or if i enable camera popup on motion detect (btw the interlacing is then gone). Its not a huge problem but i was wondering will it dissapear when i connect say eight cams or will camera popup on motion always have to be enabled. The specs are. GV-650-8 V3 p4 512MB all driver up to date ATI9800PRO with latest catalyst driver Winows2000 Pro SP4
cctv_down_under 0 Posted September 17, 2004 Could be a fualty card, but my bets are a weak camera signal, try it on another prot, you must switch your video signal to 640x480 SW not 640x480 to get softwrae interlace. Chances are you have an earth loop or a cheapo camera that is not getting enough signal to the DVR, see if it folows the different ports you try and try leaving it off to se if it is the problem, BTW is it a B/W cam?
