shep3470 0 Posted August 29, 2007 I have a dvr set up so that I can view the cameras remotely. But it went down for some reason and I can't view them online. I am pretty sure the IP address hasn't changed. What other problems could it be?
scorpion 0 Posted August 29, 2007 Do you have a static IP address? Do you have a dynamic IP address? I assume you can see your video locally, but you cannot see them from somewhere else?

dvrsecuritylab 0 Posted September 11, 2007 you said that "it went down" so does it mean that it was working in the beginning? if it was working before, then it shouldn't be the problem with port forwarding, unless your router settings were somehow reset. Kiwi 0 Posted September 11, 2007 My DVR became unviewable after a month away from home. A slight power sag had screwed up the DSL modem. Once that was reset I was back on line. The AVtech DVR has been pretty solid - four months now, and a good thing as it's 7000 miles away. Can you ping your server? Do you have remote admin access to the router?
