sinbad 0 Posted September 17, 2007 I Have GV-800 4CH system on this new built PC. 1 camera keeps freezing in live view. I tried changing the GV card with another, replaced the mobo, the power supply and made fresh install of XP again. wires are crossing over power cord at a single spot along the way but with 90deg. and 1.5 ft. clearance. The system is running fine after a reboot but the channel will stock again after few hours. Anyone have an idea what can cause it? I had to open the camera to flip the CCD sideways, could that be the reason? not sure because then why is it working sometimes? photys 0 Posted September 17, 2007 Just to confirm, is it always the same camera that freezes or the same channel.
photys 0 Posted September 17, 2007 I have read in this forum that mixing different brandnames of cameras can cause issues with geovision cards. Never experienced this myself. I have stripped many OEM bullet acams and played with the boards, also have cams running 90 degrees to 230V power. Never with those results. So, its either the geo card rejecting that mix of cams. - It interests me that the frozen image stays on the screen. Or a camera issue, (that is, if the cams are being power cycled with the computer). - Overheating? I wonder if there is a dry joint thats affected by heat.
