libertysurveillance 0 Posted September 17, 2007 What are other dealers doing with regard to water spotting on PTZ's? Is there a solution that you can put on the plastic shield to sheet the water off the dome when it is raining? I've looked at the cams in inclement weather and you can hardly see through the spotting.
sillared 0 Posted September 18, 2007 perhaps a coating of Rain-X?
survtech 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Pelco recommends a good furniture wax that is safe for acrylics to clean their domes. That might also help prevent water spotting.

Deluxecctv.com 0 Posted October 8, 2007 Yes, you want Rain-X or a plastic safe wax. This is what we have been using for years for our PTZ domes. Seems to work great and keep the rain off the domes. Let us know if we can help you any other way. Thanks
