Becase internet explorer uses the external IP address and the 192.168.1.200 is a internal ip address either manually configured or automatically assigned by your router. To find your external ip address, open internet explorer and then go to the following website: http://www.whatismyip.com
photys 0 Posted September 17, 2007 i am not able to view it remotely at my own pc thru internet explorer another pc from outside my network able to view my dvr remotely. So others can view remotely. Try changing the webserver from 80 to a high number. Then port forward to that number. Some routers have webservers on port 80 for remote management. If you try to connect locally, remember to add the port number, ie http://192.168.1.200:8080
