sbbamafan 0 Posted October 9, 2007 I want to convert the analog signal to ip and use ip viewing recording software rather than a DVR. The reason is fairly long and complex but the bottom line is there is an analog camera (actually a few) that would be perfect for the application but this client only needs one camera at a remote location so IP is perfect solution as far as viewing / recording and data management. Thanks in advance.
InNorthernWeTrust 0 Posted October 9, 2007 There are a variety of manufacturers you can use for this. ACTi SED2120 is a single channel video encoder that comes with recording software. That should do nicely for what your looking for.
sounds 0 Posted October 14, 2007 i think what you need is a video server. most models come in 1 or 4 channels. input is analog camera and you just hook up the unit to your LAN to change into full MPEG4 full D1 resolution. i have install some 1 year ago, still working without problem. pm me if you like to know what brand i used.
