CNB BE4815NVR info

Recommended Posts

To follow up on my last post

disclaimer, I'm new to cctv and not qualified to really compare quaility of cams, that said.

I have $65 420tvl cam for comparison to the $200+ CNB

to review cam specs are

- 1/3" SONY Super HAD CCD

- 550TVL High Resolution

- Day & Night (ICR)

- Digital Slow Shutter

- 2x Digtial Zoom

- AWB, AGC, BLC, Flickerless

- Built-in IR LED & Sensor

- Extra Video-out port for Easier Installation

- Built-in Fan & Heater

Cable Through Camera Bracket

- AC24V/DC12V Dual Voltage

3.6-9mm lens

the mounting hardware is solid (you could swing from it) cam won't move once it's locked down and no exposed cables to worry about, camera housing is well made. The cheap cam mount is crap!

video out port is great for setup, I use a 13" tv with a composite connection for viewing cam adjustments

color is much more accurate.

picture is clear and crisp much more detail is viewable.

I tried the blc b4 I mounted it and it seems to work pretty well, not needed in my case so I disabled it

AGC is on, it seems to help picture level

night picture is the biggest dif I get about 60' ir at 3.6mm, with great pq

I have a 300watt motion flood, when on it does improve the pq and brighten the darker areas, with the cheap cam on or off the flood didn't make a difference, I'm sure one of the pros could explain this.

Over all very happy with the cam and buy it again just for the quality housing and mount.

looking for a sub $200- cam to test next if anyone has any recommendations.
