pmartin 0 Posted October 19, 2007 I have and end user that has 4 pelco DX7000-16 (runs win98Se) I have managed one mother board replacement /Upgrade of a defective board. as well as adding storage with pci SATA contoller cards (2X 500gig sata with 4 partitions of 125 gig) Is there anyway to upgrade the OS to windows XP or 2000. The software delivered from pelco is a restore CD of the OS drive with the software already configured.
kevinmcf 0 Posted February 16, 2008 (edited) Unfortunatly I contacted pelco and they say it cannot be done. I have a DX7016 with a hdd crash I tried to copy system files to new hdd but NG I am currently trying to get Pelco to sell me hdd but they want me to send unit in. They also informed me windows cannot be upgraded. If anyone out there has software for a 7016 and make a copy or can duplicate a hdd please let me know. I'll can send hdd and pay for your time also interested in what hardware was used to install a SATA hdd and how big hdd can be used in this case? the PIII only can use 160GB ata66. Seagate ata66/100 works w/7200 speed. thanks for any help Edited February 16, 2008 by Guest
heloder 0 Posted February 16, 2008 Pelco DX7000 were all done by this company. http://www.picasosys.com/ Perhaps they have software that will work with XP or W2K. We could also upgrade to our XOS operating system, but it would require HW changes to the DVR.
