Is this actually doable? Door strike relay has nothing to do with video recording upon opening of the door... First of all, you can use a simple contact switch to activate recording of any DVR... OR better yet, set the DVR to motion only recording, so as soon as it senses motion, will start recording. I will suggest motion only recording. Second, if your setup also has access control with electric strike, then leave that setup alone... and do not have to tie it to DVR... unless if you can integrate the access control software with DVR software..
