ericr1 0 Posted November 9, 2007 I have been providing computer support for the past 10 years and have installed several out of the box CCTV systems for a few of my clients. I have a client who needs a proposal for a 20 camera system with remote view and storage for several weeks. So I was thinking of the building my own system, however I am not sure if I can stack the 2 DVR cards listed and if Geovision will support a 20 camera view. Any advice is appreciated. 501 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Geovision will do 16 cameras max per system so you will need to use 2 DVR's to accomplish this.
ericr1 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Thanks for the info. What if I built a system around 2 of these DVR cards? AVerDiGi Hybrid NV6480EXPRESS On this board GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
501 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Yup, I just built that system for a customer and it seems to work pretty good. It will handle up to 32 cameras at 640X480 in real time so it should work fine for whatever you need. DWG can build it for you (one of the Advertisers on this board)
Soundy 1 Posted November 12, 2007 Look at the VideoInsight DVRs - they'll handle up to 32 cameras on a single DVR as well, using a single card with a daughterboard.
