IR Camera where there is NOT Always Complete Darkness

Is it bad to have a outdoor IR camera where there are sometimes lights on and hence not complete darkness?

If anything it makes the picture better at night, IR's dont interfere with ordinary lights.

maybe you can use a day/night box camera but not IR camera.

If you have good cameras the only issue is to be sure the lighting is behind and not in front of the cameras. It will serve to enhance and also possibly keep the cameras in color mode.
