cctv_down_under 0 Posted November 14, 2007 I have had bad experiences using serial to usb converters, its ok if you only have a few USB ports but after reboots sometimes it assigns to a new USB port or worse still just stops working..... PS are you sure your PC Motherboard does not have a com port...yes I know that there is not one on the back of the PC, however you will usually find one in the junk that comes with the motherboard box and you might see a jumper called COM1 on the mainboard, check the additional cables that come with the motherboard box, because if there is one there then it is a simple plug in and does not require drivers (usually) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
