Danny79 0 Posted December 17, 2007 Ok I just installed my cmaera last night and worked great. This morning around 6ish am the sun was coming up and i can see the picture going into color mode as the outside got brighter. then 20 mins after the screen starts to get whiter and whiter and whiter to where i lose my pic and now i have no picture. What would be the problem?
UMDRanger 0 Posted December 17, 2007 Ahh yes, the whiteout effect... See if the camera has a dipswich for auto backlight/gain control (?) ABC/AGC. Or close the iris a bit. One of my older black and white cameras views a doorway, and in the morning when the sun hits it, I get a nice whiteout for a few hours. But after the direct sunlight passes, it works great. Closing the iris would make it too dark in the evening hours, and there is no dipswitches on my old camera.
Danny79 0 Posted December 17, 2007 Sweet that fixed it. I just needed to adjust the iris level. Man was I worried.
Danny79 0 Posted December 18, 2007 ok, here we go again. my camera has a agc and its set to on and I adjusted the iris by like 1/8 of a turn and it worked fine. Now I'm getting the same problem but its extremely cloudy right now with some drizzle. Could it be that I need to adjust the iris level more?
