lawdogso 0 Posted December 18, 2007 Hi. I am new to the world of cctv and need some help. I own a Medical Marijuana Dispensary and need a good system. My tech I hired, up and quit in the middle of the job. He left one of 6 sony had cam's inside and three Nuvico ir cams outside the place. He had bought a Geovision 1480 card and a eight cam power supply. The wires are run for eight cams. Nobody in my area knows about Geovision or wants to hook it up. Should I remove all the stuff the first guy started and have another company do a full system? Thanks, Aaron
scorpion 0 Posted December 18, 2007 When I am looking at jobs I give it a security rating. For example a residential house with no major cash stored in a safe, or expensive electronics would get a lower rating then a residence with large amounts of cash, and expensive home entertainment gear would get a higher rating. It looks like in your case you have a very high rating. I would imagine that employees would be pilfering your products, as well of people would be wanting to break in to steal your stock. I would highly recommend that you hire a company to have them come in, and do a site survey, recommend the equipment, have them do the installation, and provide tech support when things fail. Why would someone just walk off the job?? He was facing a certain amount of frustration. Was he new off the street, and not trained in CCTV, and he got overwhelmed?
