bondi 0 Posted December 18, 2007 I have just installed my first DVR job, a four camera DVR in a single computer with ADSL connection, not networked. The customer wants to use his laptop to check on the house while he is travelling. He has a mobile wireless connection for his laptop. All the DVR features work well from the desktop. But no information in the manual about how to setup the internet IE conection. Both machines use windows XP. Where do I start, help please. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
VST_Man 1 Posted December 18, 2007 what type DVR? network settings have to be assigned to the DVR; ie. static ip assigned within the routers DHCP range, http port assigned to DVR, port forwarding from router to DVR IP, DVR network settings filled in ie. sub net matches router, gateway setting matches router, DNS is not important but fill it in, router DDNS (no-ip.com) setings, and ect. work on the local area network first and then expand that to the wide area network.
