kmb997 0 Posted December 28, 2007 What do these specs mean? I know that it means the camera can see at 1.5 lux, but what does fc and F1.2 mean? 1.5 lux (0.15fc) in color / 0.16 lux (0.016fc) in B/W (SENS Up: OFF) and 0.5 lux (0.05 fc)at F1.2 (Color Mode); 0.06 lux (0.006fc) at F1.2 (B/W Mode)
rapid 0 Posted December 31, 2007 fc......stands for footcandle in imperial units.....Typically this is approximated as 1 footcandle being equal to 10 lux as you can see from your specs. F1.2.......This is the Focal stop of the lens or the size of the aperature (opening) which lets in light to the CCD sensor.....the lower the number....the larger the opening and the quicker the lens is in responding to light changes. CCD sensors are more sensitive to black and white which provide a superior image over color as you can see from your specs.
mcs 0 Posted December 31, 2007 Yes with F1.2 being quite good really, considering most of those cheap cams dont go under F1.4,
