PacketRat 0 Posted January 24, 2008 Hi all, Long time lurker, but don't post often. Please go easy on me I recently sold my GV-1480 card to a friend who owns a jewlery store, and it works wonderfully. I only sold it due to having moved from a large place into a very small place with 1 entry. Anyway, on to the question: We are wondering if there is any way to save off the thumbnails of faces from the object index? He doesn't necessarily need the videos that go along with each thumbnail (unless he has an incident or whatever), but would just like to keep a thumb of each person that enters his store. From what I can tell, once the videos are recycled or deleted, the associated thumbs go away too. Is that the case? Is there any way to "export" the thumbnails somehow (Preferrably quickly or automatically)? I have no problems writing scripts or whatever to gather the files from a particular drive location, but I didn't see a way to actually get all the files from Geovision into a directory. It wouldn't be the end of the world if he couldn't do it, but I told him I'd at least ask the pros about it here. I searched the forum, but didn't see anything relevant. Any idedas? Thanks! andy_geovision 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Dear Scott, Please try the following... Go to GeoVision Viewlog.. Click backup icon >> check an option called " Include Viewlog Player " Then Click " Add time frame " >> Check " Object Index " After all, backing up the data now... Once finishing backup, go to the backup folder and look for Ezviewlog.exe. In the ezviewlog.exe, click advance icon >> object index.. then select the time and cameras... you will find those index photo again Sincerely, Andy Chen Technical Support GeoVision. PacketRat 0 Posted February 17, 2008 Thanks Andy, I really appreciate the help! I haven't had a chance to try this, but it makes sense that it will work. We are getting ready to add a few more cameras to the system, I will try it then. Thanks again, Scott
