Sorry I don't have anything fun to look at.

would be a good comparison if there was a number plate or a sign in the middle ground of the shot

and as rory said though in post above , a shot from the beach might be visually edible nyum nyum

Yeah, I understand the cost of DSLR gear, especially the lenses! Wish I could use some of my old ones on a couple of my cctv cams.

I saw one lens I'd love to have for my nature photo work, a Sigma 400-1000mm. you can pick one up for a mere $30,000. But that's only

half the problem... you have to be able to handle a 35lb lens!

Just takes a setup like this:

I was just testing a SD3 Pano for someone, I couldnt get a good focus at all, really crappy image, I was surprised. The auto backfocus didnt do anything for it either, seems like just something else to go wrong.

When did you autoback focus? At dusk when switching modes, or when it was dark? It may perform better at dusk. Also, one nice feature of the Pana is the ability to set day and night focus presets, so you might try that as well once you are happy with the focus.

Best,

Christopher

Neither, I test in a controlled environment. Either way the image was bad. Something had to be wrong with the camera, Ive used the Pano before and It worked fine, never used that Autoback focus though, but even the Manual Backfocus did nothing.

i had a similar problem with a cam that wouldnt focus , pulled out the lens and removed a tiny bit of dust from the back lens

problem solved . nice when the answer is a simple one

Guys, can you take that DSLR discussion in different thread ?

New video, IQeye IQ752, night, streetlight.

First 30 seconds - without Lightgrabber function, next 30 sec. Lightgrabber x1

Sorry for frame rate, low cost connection.

whats the actual frame rates?

Can you put a regular day night or BW camera up there to compare?

Its 0.4 to 0.7 fps

Shutter with lightgrabber off, is set to " use 1/50s or more", with lightgrabber "on", shutter was set to "optimize quality".

I can't put any other cam there :/ so no comparison

I have other IQ752 installation in 2-3 weeks, so I will make some comparisons.

Video looks great. Almost looks like a cloudy day during the daytime

Believe me it's night You can see time in the lower left. I was also surprised

I wonder how much the snow is helping?

I think I'll order a IQEye IQA32N and try it myself.

IQA32 =/= IQ752, I rly like those cams, but IQ752 have 1/2" CMOS, and Alliance series 1/3" and you can see difference.

I was looking at there product sheet and assumed the A32N was the dome version of the 732 yes?

I'm going to check another source because the quote I just got was way too high for a 2mp camera.

If you hover your mouse over the first one, it will say "Zoom in (real dimensions: 4864 x 3224)" - that would be full, uncropped 16MP.

The lower two pictures, I'll venture a guess, are 100% crops from the first one.

Guess your computer only excepts CIF images

mine and a billion others using the latest chrome.

It was only a helpful suggestion.

When posting images using https without a valid certificate the user will not be able to see it in the thread without opening it in a new window and accepting the risk, if they are using an updated browser. its a simple security measure built into the browsers now. So the resolution is to not use https in the image url.

Ok so now we can stop arguing about it.

In the future please remove the "s" from the http

Or you could update your system's security certificates. If it's not recognizing valid sites, it may be letting invalid ones through as well.

Since the links appear to be working for everyone but you, I'd suggest the problem is on YOUR end.
