I came accross these cables and I have never seen them before. Are they recommended?

Power distribution cable, have something like that on some Public view monitors that we are testing, distributes power between the monitor and the camera that is attached.

I could use something like that in a structured wiring panel with all of the boards that need power!!

Those are very handy when you want to get away with a cheap install. You can plug one 1 amp power supply to power up 4 non IR cameras (usually 100-200mA) and not have to use a box or have 4 different power supplies. The only problem is if your one power supply goes out, all four cameras stop working, as opposed to using an individually fused box or four separate power supplies.

Do I need to install an overamperage device in series with an over current device??
