hio 0 Posted February 18, 2008 I've got an old AVC770 from a friend, but he lost his power supply. Could someone tell me the pin-out from the 4 pins (SVHS) connector at the rear?? Is it 5V and 12V ??? Thanks Robert, Netherlands
scorpion 0 Posted February 18, 2008 I do not know the answer to your question as I have never worked with the 770. I am going to guess that it uses a 19 volt power supply but that is a guess. I would ask you to open the case and look at where the power supply connector is located. How many wires are soldered to it?? I imagine that it probably looks like an S video "style" connector. If it has only two wires on it trace it back to the PC board, and see if there is anything printed on the board that indicates the voltage. You should be able to buy the power supply as there are places on the net that sell them. There is also a source in Canada.
Kiwi 0 Posted February 18, 2008 If you can't find any docs, you could try this as it's very possible it provides fully regulated 5/12 VDC as you suggest: Use an ohmmeter and see if there is a direct connection from the mini-DIN pins to the plug on the hard disk connector. +12 VDC = yellow wire, +5 VDC = red wire, GND = black wire.
