speedyone 0 Posted February 20, 2008 Hi Great site! Keep this short as poss .. use a fixed IP to view my DVR. Can view via wireless LAN but as soon as I try WAN ( other computer outside my house ) can view the DVR login page, allows me to login but then camera screen is all black. Use IE to view, have disabled active X ( think correctly ! ) but page 'hangs' then freezes then can't do anything bar close webbrowser! Any ideas. securitymonster 0 Posted February 22, 2008 What brand of DVR are you using? Most remote viewers WILL require the use of activeX. Giving us more information will allow us to help you.
Integratek 0 Posted February 22, 2008 indeed activeX HAS to be enabled in most cases. however cheaper chinese dvrs might not translate picture across the router unless the DVR's ip is configured as DMZ
dwaitkevich 0 Posted February 22, 2008 It is 1 of 2 possible issues. Active X is not installed or your upload speed is too slow
