sheru 0 Posted November 29, 2015 hi I have to 2 HIKVISION DS-2CD2232 IP Camera and just bought a HIKVISION nvr 7604 . I want to install the camera on a very high place in my house. I do not want to run the cable down on the ground floor where the router is. power supply can be given from my loft that my builder can do but now how can i wirelessly connect the camera to my router and nvr which is in the ground floor. I am doing this to avoid wire running down which can be tampered

I would recommend hiring someone to run the cable in the wall. You will likely have dropouts over wifi. Avoid it.

It is technically a wired solution without pulling cables The netgear along with others can also be access points Take a look at the netgear plug and play http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/powerline/PLP1200.aspx
